WanderingAway is a website I built as a way to document and share some of my favorite travel experiences.
It is designed for responsive viewing across mobile, tablet, and desktop web browsers.
It started as a project to brush up on my coding skills—I wanted to hand-code some responsive web pages using HTML5, CSS3, and JQuery.
In making this site, I figured out how to use the Google Maps Javascript SDK, Facebook Share API, and a plug-in for lazy loading images.
I also wrote some custom Javascript to handle JSON data and improve some of the Google Maps interactions.
