Barnes and Noble eReader Concept
With Amazon's first Kindle device already on the market, Barnes and Noble commissioned Teague to design their next generation of e-Readers. Teague's product strategy promised to leapfrog existing competitors in the market by proposing a full-color touchscreen display. The B&N e-Reader would differentiate itself by taking advantage of its powerful hardware to highlight visual content such as magazines, illustrated books, and online content.
The team at Teague designed a software interface on top of the Android operating system. This included a homescreen featuring a feed of reading materials as well as a web browser and reader software for magazines and text books. In addition, we designed a Barnes and Noble store for purchasing and downloading content. I led the product strategy, participated in the interaction and visual design, and managed the design team.
